Uniacke Estate Museum and Park

A few photos from my outing to the property about 30 minutes from Lower Sackville, where I live. I have heard about the estate and also have wanted to visit. Great area for walking on the graveled trails and picnics on the property.  My companion and I took a guided tour with a very personable informative lady. The top photos do not do the house justice. You really must see the for yourself to appreciate.

There was a wonderful breeze on the water as we walked along the path passing a few folks. There was a school bus of kids taking the tour and their guide appeared to be keeping them in rapt attention.

We went out by the Hothouse ruins and over to Martha Lake. Then on to the trail headed towards the field. We grew a little tired and headed back early. Over all it is a gorgeous place.

I live in Nova Scotia and my family and I went to visit Mount Uniacke Estate Museum and Park today for the first time.

It was amazing the detail that went into the house and what good shape it is still in today. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn some Nova Scotia history or just to see a lovely property. We also found the staff very welcoming and knowledgeable.
